At last, it came to Africa...

Many never believed untill the saw the whole world gathered in South Africa this summer 2010 to watch the world's greatest sports event-football.Not only was the world cup hosted in Africa, but hosted by a country which in the earliest years fought for its freedom and liberation through bloodshed (thinking about the Sharpville incidents, the Soweto massacres and all the liberation moves by the ANC and allies).

I have never been to South Africa, but images shown on BBC revealed that the country was a paradise.I had to believe with my eyes that everyone; including western media had every reason this time to at least show something positive about Africa.Infact, from every indication everyone enjoyed the atmosphere in South Africa during World Cup 2010; ranging from the beautiful colourful ceremony, to music, the landscape and the lovely people.

This shows that something great can come out of Africa. The next question is which African country is ready to take the next challenge? South Africa has opened up the way and I hope the African continent from now henceforth be a regular contester for hosting the world cup in future years.

BRAVO! AFRICA!!!
